MEGANTARA CULTURE FESTIVAL

2 weeks ago, my school,3 Senior High School Bandung hold an event, which called Megantara. Why its name is Megantara? Because it has meaning 'archipelago is a magnificent rays'.

This event already held on 10th September, in Bali Field. This event was sponsored by Uber, BRI , Fruittea, Pesona Indonesia and many more.

Megantara started with parade procession in the morning.The parade was followed by 10th grade which use 'kebaya' and 'pangsi'. The parade was started from Bali Field,through Belitung Street, Sumatera Street,Merdeka Street, Nias Street, Jawa street and back to Bali Field. This parade was guided by Reog Ponorogo.

After the parade procession,i went back to home with my friend and we returned back to Bali Field at 2 p.m.

Megantara was officially started at a quarter to twelve.This event showed Indonesian culture. At Bali Field,there were stands which represented 5 main islands in Indonesia (Jawa, Kalimantan, Sumatera, Sulawesi and Papua).Those stands displayed Indonesian culture in each region. There are also many food trucks which sold foods and drinks.


Megantara also showed Indonesian art and culture, fashion show of 34 province in Indonesia, regional dance, gamelan, and many more. This event also showed 3 Senior High School Bandung's extracurricular, T'st(tiloes theatre).T'st performed a play about Indonesian culture which colonized by foreign culture, but in the end, Indonesian nation is not influenced and could still preserve the native culture.

Besides displayed about cultural events, Megantara also showed many guest stars,such as The Changcuters dan RAN. The changcuters sang the rock song and RAN sang about the love song.

Unfortunately, I must go back to my home when RAN sang 'Dekat di Hati'.But over all, this event was held successfully and i was so lucky to attend this event.
